Always interested in computer systems as well as computer networks, I have more than 15 years of experience in complex data centers, working on server, storage, network and security topics. I achieved Red Hat, NetApp, VMware, Cisco CCIE and Specialist certifications.
Currently I’m working as Network and Security Architect, and I’m responsible for the security of the whole IT infrastructure. I manage physical and human resources to achieve a secure, high-availability and resilient data center infrastructure for mission critical services.
Before that, I worked as Infrastructure Consultant for NextiraOne, developing customer solutions to evolve data centers into a scalable, reliable, resilient and robust environments. I was a focal point for pre-sales and post-sales business unit developing and implementing data center solutions.
In the past, I worked for Telecom Italia as System Engineer, implementing high availability solutions for mission critical environments and developing server consolidation project to run a multi-server application in a reliable virtual environment.

IOU Web Interface is a sort of experiment I wrote. The purpose of my Web Interface is to create and manage Cisco IOU laboratories using a web browser. Today iou-web has more than 1500 daily unique users. People inside big companies like Cisco, Vodafone, Italtel, Dell, IBM, HP, Accenture... are currently using iou-web.
UNetLab can be considered the next major version of iou-web. The software has been rewritten from scratch using latest technologies like jQuery, Bootstrap in a Single-Page app. The major advantage over GNS3 and iou-web itself is about multi-hypervisor support within a single entity. UNetLab allows to design labs using IOU, Dynamips and QEMU nodes without dealing with multi virtual machines: everything run inside a UNetLab host, and a lab is a single file including all information needed.
Currently UNetLab supports many appliances (called nodes) and provides a decoupled Web-UI using REST API. UNetLab is based on PHP, C and Bash scripts.

I worked as Principal Network and Security engineer, and I had the responsibility for the local and geographic networks, including security appliances like Checkpoint/Imperva firewalls, RADIUS authentication and host isolations.
I was also a backup focal point for server and VMware infrastructure.

as System Engineer, I installed and administered several high availability servers involved in core business activities. I was responsible also for front end services, load balancer, networks, backup, storage (EMC and NetApp) and disaster recovery processes included related security issues.
as System Administrator for Hewlett Packard, I implemented and managed high availability computer systems for mission critical environments in Telecom Italia (TIM) for x86, Alpha and Itanium platform. I also was involved in startup phase of prepaid services for Telestet, an internalization of TIM in Athens.
